Diana, Princess Of The Amazon's Victoria Ying Sells Her YA Graphic Novel, Hungry Ghost, to First Second

Recently, DC Comics send their kids graphic novel Diana, Princess Of The Amazons, drawn by Victoria Ying, back to second printing after a fast sell-out of the first printing, It was notable by its absence in this boxset, DC Comics simply didn't have any copies to spare. It can't have hurt Ying's ability to get her new YA graphic novel Hungry Ghost snapped up at auction by Calista Brill at First Second,

 The book follows Valerie Chu as she grows up with an eating disorder in her Chinese-American family, navigates great loss, and ultimately comes to terms with how sometimes those you love most can hurt you most.

01: First Second will publish Hungry Ghost in 2023. Ying was represented by Jennifer Azantian at Azantian Literary Agency.
