ComicHub’s plan to save the comics industry is not going forward right now

Joby Harold Joins As Writer For Obi-Wan Kenobi Series At Disney+

There’s been plenty of news recently regarding television shows and films shutting down production. So, if you’re tired of all of the cancellation news, then we’ve got something a bit more exciting to share!  An Obi-Wan Kenobi series has been in the works at Disney+ for a while now. However, things were halted when Hossein Amini left the writing team earlier this year. Well, Joby Harold has now joined the team, taking over the writing for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series at Disney+.

Who Is Joby Harold, And What’s He Written Before The Venture Into Disney+?

Joby Harold has yet to write for a television series. However, his experience for films has been a fast rise to success. After his writing and directing debut on the film Awake in 2007, his next credit wasn’t for another decade. Harold wrote and produced 2017’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. He’s also currently writing for the upcoming zombie flick by Zack SnyderArmy of the Dead. He’ll also be writing the untitled Bumblebee sequel, joining the Transformers franchise. In addition to his writing work, Harold also worked as the executive producer for some bigger films, including John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

So, What’s Going On With the Obi-Wan Series at Disney+?

We know that Joby Harold is taking over and writing the Obi-Wan series. And, while Disney tends to remain pretty secretive about their shows, we do know a few more important details. Ewan McGregor has confirmed that he’ll be a part of the project, reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Fans have been hoping for a solo film starring McGregor, but with the recent success of The Mandalorianwe expect that a Disney+ series will produce better results.

Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, has previously said that the scripts have been written and the series will start filming some time this year. However, with the uncertainty of COVID-19, that might be delayed. While McGregor had previously said that they were planning on keeping the same original airdate as before the swap in writers, that’s looking doubtful.

Readers, how do you feel about the recent news that Joby Harold is joining the Obi-Wan series at Disney+? Is it making you even more excited for the next Star Wars Disney+ venture? Let us know!
